Details:
GENE REID passed away on January 27, 2006. His wife “Nancy” writes: He didn't want any funeral but he was an active Mason, Freemasonry, and the Masonic lodges that he served in want to have a memorial service, but I don't know when. Masonry was his favorite activity. He was a state officer and served in many high offices. We never had any children. We were married for 33 wonderful years. He was truly a kind and gentle soul and always thoughtful and loving.

He worked as a systems programmer. He had a hobby of designing ship models and building them. I have decided to put his ashes in the sea on the north shore above Boston. I think he would like that. >P> In a small school like the Maritime College, everyone got to know each other quite well. We weren't just another face that one would soon forget. Although we all went off in different directions, the bonds of our class remained strong. I would like to inform the rest of our classmates about Gene along with any other information such as funeral arrangements, memorials, family etc. that you would like to provide. Speaking for my classmates, please accept our deepest sympathies for your loss. Gene was a good shipmate!
Blessings,
Herman Molzahn
