We are sorry to report the sudden death of
WILLIAM (BILL) G FERDINANDSEN on Saturday August 7, 2004, in Merritt, NC. Bill is survived by his wife, the former Libby Ryan of New Rochelle,NY, whom he met while at Fort Schuyler, and their children, Billy, Jon, Karen and Krissy, their spouses and five grandchildren.
Bill was an ex- Navy Quartermaster, who, after graduation, shipped out with American Export-Isbrandtsen for three years, and rose to the rank of Commander in the Naval Reserve. Subsequently, he was a charter broker with Chester, Blackburn & Roder for many years, and later chose to open his own business near his home in Waccabuc, NY, rather than commute. He and Libby several years later retired to North Carolina where they were active in community affairs.
