William G. Reddan (Class of 1968) died Friday, March 19, 2004 in New York City. Bill was Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President at Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) in New York City, where he worked 14 years. Before joining PB in 1990 as a Project Manager, having been recruited for his experience in the nuclear energy industry, he was a project manager Before joining PB, Bill worked for 14 years for Ebasco Services, Inc., of New York City, where he served as project manager on a number of highly technical proj¬ects, including the Compact Ignition Tokamak Vacuum Vessel System at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.

Bill served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and was Chief Engineer on the USS THOMAS J. GARY. He was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal. In addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering from Maritime College, Bill held a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was a registered Professional Engineer in New York and was active in many professional organizations, including the Civil Engineering Research Foundation, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, National Research Policy Committee, and the American Society of Quality Control, for which he served as Chairman of its Design and Construction Division in 1997¬ 98.

Bill is survived by his wife, Beverly, three sons, William P., Michael and Timothy, three daughters, Patricia Luck, Donna O’Donnell, and Sara Reddan, his mother, Anna T. Reddan, sister, Nancy Scobie, brothers, Patrick, Daniel, Gerry and Steven, and four grandchildren. He was 57 years old and lived in Monroe Township, New Jersey.
