BEN LETO, class of 1973 passed away December 15, 2008, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. For over twenty years, he was employed as the mold design engineer for a family-owned plastic bottle manufacturer in nearby Ypsilanti. In the words of his sister Rosalie Leto, "Benny's affiliation with Fort Schuyler Maritime College has been a source of pride for the Leto family. Benny was very bright, had a lot of heart and a great sense of humor. His excellent education and social relationships at Fort Schuyler contributed to his strength of character and to that playful humor that would be a part of his personality for the rest of his days. I see Fort Schuyler under the bridge today, and it is bittersweet, but I am proud that Benny was one of your own".
