HERBERT J. FRUH, class of 1969, passed away at his home in Newburyport, MA on Thursday evening, Oct. 13, 2011. Herb is the husband of Virginia V. (Shugrue) Fruh.
He was born in Queens, NY, on July 24, 1946, the son of the late Philip and Elizabeth (Jung) Fruh. After graduating from the New York Maritime Academy, Herb pursued a career in power plant design. He was a veteran of the US Navy Reserves and the Merchant Marines. Herb leaves his wife, Virginia, and three children, Brian and his wife Jayne of Dover, NH, Kevin and his wife Alison of Newburyport, MA and Tracey and her fiance Jordan Osecki of Newtown, Pa.; his three grandchildren, Peri, Jack and Adelaide; his two brothers, Arthur and his wife Gayle of Franklin, MA and Dennis of Loch Sheldrake, NY.
