CHRISTOPHER JOHN FRANKLIN of Mendham NJ died on October 7, 2001 of a heart attack at age 45. Beloved husband of Katherine (Wilkins) and loving father of Elizabeth, Katie and Christopher. He leaves with tender thoughts from his parents, Wallace J. and Catherine P. Franklin of Oradell and his sister Catherine A. and brothers Wallace R. (deceased), Michael H. and Quentin J. Christopher graduated from Bergen Catholic H.S. in 1974 and N.Y. State Maritime College in 1978. He sailed for seven years in the U.S. Merchant Marine, leaving as Chief Mate and continued in the U.S. Naval Reserve as Commander. He graduated from Rutgers Law School in 1986 and practiced law, eventually opening his own office in Mendham. He had been VP of Fidelity Bonds at Chubb and was active in the Rotary Club, Young Republican Club and the Mendham business Association.
