Otto L. Liepin (1946) reports on the passing of
DR. CARVER C DUMKE (Oct. 1946), a dentist, retired to Punta Gorda, FL and was an ardent sailor thru out the years after graduating NYSMA in Oct. '46 where he was one of the founders of our school's intercollegiate sailing program. In fact, after Hurricane Charley devastated the Charlotte Harbor area in 2004, his main concern was that his sailboat
"Thankful" survived the devastation -- and it did. Carver passed away June 2006.
