It is with great regret that we report the passing of
JAMES M DI GIOVANNA (Class of 1952) on June 28, 2006. Jim passed away at the Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC after undergoing heart surgery. A resident of Massapequa Park, NY, the funeral wake was held at the Massapequa Park Funeral Home with 10 of his Maritime classmates attending. The funeral and burial was in Massapequa on July 3rd. Jim is survived by his widow Dorothy and two sons, Richard and David.
Following graduation in 1952, Jim served two years of active duty with the Navy as the navigator on the USS Elokomin (AO-55) in the Atlantic and Mediterranean areas. Later he was with the Department of Defense supply operations in Long Island until his retirement.
